If You’ve Never Failed, You’ve Never Lived!

When I think of where I am going, I am filled with enthusiasm. I am proud of where I am today because I know it is just the beginning of greater things to come.

I am the master of my future

My tomorrow is dictated by my actions today. How I act today is the blueprint for my future. Daily, I spend time reflecting on my actions and attitudes in order to alter my habits. I practice good habits because they breed success.

I choose to use my time wisely. Therefore my time is spent on activities that benefit me. Every decision I make is carefully thought out and evaluated because I am committed to shaping my future. In the end, I choose to do only that which brings me closer to my goals.

I focus on what I can control and release myself from unnecessary pressures. I control my reactions and I react with wisdom in order to live free from regret. Doing so allows me to enjoy the fruit of my hard work in serenity and peace.

My future is well planned because I set high standards for myself.

I know where I want to go in my career, relationships, and other areas of personal growth. My plan includes strategies on how to become and achieve more.

When I think of where I am going, I am filled with enthusiasm. I am proud of where I am today because I know it is just the beginning of greater things to come. My future is a place that I face with expectation and uncontainable anticipation.

Today, in every decision I make, I am conscious of my future well-being.

“As I Began to Love Myself ”

As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth.

Today, I know, this is “AUTHENTICITY”.

As I began to love myself I understood how much I can offend somebody. As I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it, and even though this person was me.

Today I call it “RESPECT”.

As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life, and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow.

Today I call it “MATURITY”.

As I began to love myself I understood that in any circumstance, I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens at the exactly right moment. So I could be calm.

Today I call it “SELF-CONFIDENCE”.

As I began to love myself I quit stealing my own time, and I stopped designing huge projects for the future. Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness, things I love to do and that make my heart cheer, and I do them in my own way and in my own rhythm.

Today I call it “SIMPLICITY”.

As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health – food, people, things, situations, and everything that drew me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism.

Today I know it is “LOVE OF ONESELF”.

As I began to love myself I quit trying to always be right, and ever since I was wrongless of the time.

Today I discovered that is “MODESTY”.

As I began to love myself I refused to go on living in the past and worrying about the future. Now, I only live for the moment, where EVERYTHING is happening.

Today I live each day, day by day, and I call it “FULFILLMENT”.

As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick. But As I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally.

Today I call this connection “WISDOM OF THE HEART”.

We no longer need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others. Even stars collide, and out of their crashing new worlds are born.

Today I know THAT IS “LIFE”!

Thoughts become Words
Words become Actions
Actions become Habits
Habits become Character
Your Character becomes youк Destiny.

What do you desire?

What do you desire? What makes you itch? What sort of a situaion would you like?

Let’s suppose — I do this often in vocational guidance of students. They come to me and say,

“Well, uh, we’re getting out of college, and we haven’t the faintest idea of what we want to do. “

So I always ask the question, “What would you like to do if money were no object?
How would you really enjoy spending your life? “

Well, it’s so amazing. As a result of our kind of educational system, crowds of students say,

“Well, we’d like to be painters, we’d like to be poets, we’d like to bewriters.
But as everybody knows you can’t earn anymoney that way. “

Or another person says, “I’d like to live an out-of-doors life and ride horses. “

I said, “Do you want to teach at a riding school? Let’s go through with it. What do you want to do? “

When we finally got down to something which the individual says he really wants to do. I will say to him,

“you do that, and forget the money. Because if you say that getting the money is the most important thing,
you will spend your life completely wasting your time. You will be doing things you don’t like doing in order to go on
living that is to go on doing things you don’t like doing.Which is STUPID! Better to have a short life
that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way. “

And after all, if you do really like what your’e doing, it doesn’t matter what it is, you can eventually become amaster of it.

It’s the only way to become a master of something, to be really with it. And then you’ll be able to get a good fee for whatever it is.
So don’t worry too much. Somebody’s interested in everything. And anything you can be interested in, you’ll find others whoare.

But it’s absolutely stupid to spend your time doing thingsyou don’t like in order to go on doing things you don’t like

and to teach your children to follow in the same track.See, what we’re doing is we’re bringing up children, and educating
them to live the same sort of lives we’re livingin order that they may justify themselves and find satisfaction in life
by bringing up their children to bring up ,their children to do the same thing. It’s all wretch and novomit. It never gets there!
And so therefore it’s so important to consider this question. “What do I desire? “

Alan Watts
